A bit late but I may be the only person posting to this forum anyway.

So, Philadelphia, Cleveland and Seattle have advanced, Seattle with the second-largest comeback in postseason history.

Mets host the Padres, winner advances.

    Upcoming best of 7 series:

    Houston (4 games) - Seattle (3)

    Yankees (4) - Cleveland (3)

    Atlanta (4) - Philadelphia (3)

    Dodger (4) - Padres/Mets winner (3)

Padres win the deciding game 6-0. Padres were the better team, fair play to them.

On paper it looks like a fantastic final four: Yankees/Astros and Dodgers/Braves.

Of course the other four teams will be trying to disrupt. Given that I have no love for either AL team (with the exception of the legend that is Justin Verlander), I will be rooting for the NL challenger.

Padres, Phillies, Houston advance. Dodgers, Braves, Mariners eliminated. Yankees/Cleveland could be decided today in Cleveland.

One would've gotten great odds on the Phillies being the team to make it out of the NL East. Padres were always a good team and are the winners of the mid-season upgrade prize.

After a rainout, Yankees win through, so League Championships are all set.

    Game 1 Phillies @ Padres, Phillies 2, Padres 0

Houston sweeps Yankees. Phillies oust SD 4-1, so it's a Houston/Philadelphia WS. Wouldn't have predicted that at the start of the season. Yankees being swept comes as a surprise, didn't even win one.

It would be some record if Houston swept the Phillies and went the entire postseason unbeaten!

Not going to happen now. Nice win for the Phillies last night, 5 run comeback is I think 2d most in the WS.

Can't believe I woke up to read about a WS no hitter. In my lifetime. Wow.

Yes, it's one of those fancy combined no hitters, which is the modern way of things. No objections from me, it still counts. Momentum clearly back to the Astros, pitching always rules in the postseason.

And, the season ends with a 4-1 Houston victory, an overall 4-2 World Series win. Congratulations, Houston Astros.

99 days till spring training 2023!
