As title suggests, is it safe to do so? Wynns diesel xtreme clean undiluted into the filter bowl, usually mixed with 30 odd litres of diesel in the tank.

Personally I wouldn't. Other than the fact it might not run on it, I'd question what the lubricant content of it is.

I'll get some fresh diesel so and put that into the tank afterwards, thank you.

Edit: to clarify what I mean is diesel into the filter bowl and the "cleaner" into the tank

Could probably change fuel filter again if any crap is brought back through the system and caught by the filter from what the cleaner removes.

Did the work today, primed the filter from empty, just cleaned out the filter bowl thoroughly. Easy to prime due to electric pump in the tank.

Threw the diesel cleaner into the tank after I took it for a short spin.

The old filter was pretty bad, filter paper was soft as tissue and it stretched as I removed it.
