Filing Dividend earnings with revenue

I currently have some money invested in stocks on Degiro.

I have a total dividend earning of €8 for 2021, as per my annual report.

I do not have any earnings from stocks as I did not sell any.

Is it necessary to file the dividend earnings with revenue.

    Also a hypothetical question.

Let's say I sell my shares in 2022 but Ido not earn anything (I. E a loss or I sell at the buying price), does this need to be reported to revenue? And if so, does it need to be done by the end of this year?

I'd assume DeGiro provide Revenue with details (Airbnb certainly do). Did you provide your PPS number to Degiro to set up the account?

Will Revenue pursue you over €8 of dividend income, possibly not. But better to be safe than sorry.

Yes I checked and I did provide my PPS number.

You're right though, better safe than sorry.

Submit as part of normal Form 12 tax return.
