How will Shanganagh social housing effect Shankill as an area and in terms of property prices?

Moved to a forum that's related to the topic instead.

Maybe a better question would be - what impact would a small drop in house prices in Shankill have on the residents of Shankill, in the context of providing a substantial number of new homes to people during the worst housing crisis for many years?

There is a lot of development going on and about to happen in Shankill. The Shanganagh Castle development will add much needed housing to the area. The Woodbrook development is only down the road from it and will and more private housing as well as plans for a dart station and school. The problems is that plans don't always happen and how it will impact the primary schools in the area remains to be seen. That would be my biggest concern. The impact on house prices, who knows or really cares unless you are selling up and banking the money, you have to live somewhere.
