Creamy oil is often a sign of water entering. Not good.

Could be a head gasket, water pump issue, cracked block etc.

Check the water and see if there’s signs of oil there. Creamy buildup under cap.

    be thinking about head gasket.

Was it lying up outside for a while?

Any chance rain water down the exhaust?

Seal on the bottom of the piston sleeve is likely leaking or crack between cylinders

Head gasket, porus liners, or liner seals.

( not sure if the 884 has wet liners)

There a product called steel seal in a bottle, a guy recommended to me, its about 50 euro and told me to try it as worked for him

    Is it using water?

It's possible, but I'd also expect that you would have seen water spitting out the exhaust when you started it after it was lying up.

If coolant looks clean and levels are not dropping and no bubbling in radiator while running. (And oil level is not increasing)

Then I think I'd change the oil and keep an eye on it. Cover the exhaust if lying up for long periods.

If it's only a small bit of water, if you run it for a while, should the water not boil out of the oil?

Most important thing with tractors is to keep them in and run them at least every week. This gets rid of any condensation that accumulates internally. It also drives the oils around internally and prevents internal rust.

    Probably but...

But I'm willing to bet its due an oil change anyway. It will be obvious quickly if there is actually an issue with clean oil.

    absolutely.

water seems ok, changed the oil but after using it a good while it creamy again, i notice thou if you let it sit the creamy oil goes back to normal colour of oil and soon as you use it again it turns creamy again

started again yesterday and left running and steam coming out the dipstick and when running is pumping creamy grey oil out as well

    What happing with the exhaust

Had a skidsteer and the oil was going grey.

That was after a hydraulic leak sprayed into the air intake and caused it to rev itself to a near death experience, it never ran great after. I think it was either the water pump seals or the piston rings were damaged.
