Modular Home vs Block House

    Hi Folks,

I'm looking for some advice. I have an old 3 bedroom cottage that I want to renovate. The site is quite small and not a whole lot of room to expand the site so my options are to keep it as it is or build up. The house hasn't been lived in for 20 years but the external walls are in good shape.

However i was thinking of knocking the house down completely and replacing it with a modular home. If i was to keep the house I would have to replace the roof, add blocks and redo the floor. But as the house is there already standing would it be a bad idea to completely knock it and start from scratch?

    thanks
