Installing aerials without electricity

I'm in the process of building a house at present. Scaffolding is up and I was thinking that now would be the best time to fit the aerials.

Do I need electricity to plug in television to check signal?

Bearing in mind that I'm just out of range for Divis as per the coverage map.

You could always try your luck pointing it in the right direction using a compass on your phone or use your neighbours aerials as a guide. If it doesn't work our you'll just have to adjust it when you've got the leccy in.

A TV aerial doesn't have to be as precisely pointed as a satellite dish. Find the location and distance to the transmitter on Google maps and point it in that general direction.

If you're outside the general coverage area for the transmitter maybe go for a higher gain in-group aerial.

I've ordered up the aerials. Hopefully my aim is true.
