Ryanair Bag Size Worries

Hi I haven't flown much so I don't have luggage as such, but need to fly Ryanair soon

I have with a bag that will do as a carry-on 10kg, less than 55 x 40 x 20cm but will need the personal bag to hold a fair bit too.

I have a rucksack that measures 45cm top to bottom and about 33cm wide.

If it's not full, and I can squish it into the bag sizer, will I be ok with it, or are they likely to charge me because the measurements are over their rules of 40 20 20cm?

    Any help appreciated, thanks!

Once you can squish it into the bag carrier you will be fine.

Just be aware that on the value fare you get a personal bag but you don't get a 10kg as a carry on unless you purchase the higher fare with priority boarding and seat selection. You get a personal bag on standard fares and then you can purchase a 10kg bag that has to be checked in.

Thanks a mill, I have booked priority as I'm going for a week, a weekend I'd get away with the personal bag, but not a week. If I hadn't booked that, you'd have saved me a massive headache, thank you!

They are not nearly as strict as they were. But it has to be there or thereabouts.

Depends on the airport. I've found Gatwick, Birmingham and Edinburgh way fussier than Dublin.
