Hey guys I recently bought a Honda stream 2008 from done deal. It failed the NCT on two front light units being damaged due to the temperature of the bulbs or someone previous to me using the wrong stuff to clean it. I have tried to get them professionally cleaned and no joy they still look foggy. Does anyone know where you can source two light units around Ireland.

I've been looking but haven't found any only in Japan.

    Thanks

That model wasn't released in Ireland, but you already know that.

You may be able to also check in Malaysia and Singapore as those markets did get the RS{6-9} body shapes. But, the lights should come up when using the proper cutting polishes and finishing with a really fine cutting paste.

I had the pleasure of driving a 2007 Stream RSZ for a while. Moderately fun car, good enough as a slower civic with a third row of seats. Good luck with the sourcing of parts.

They are a handy looking car!

I'd be very surprised if those lights didn't come up with a proper polish. Give it a try yourself with some bread soda made into a paste and scrub like your life depends on it. If it doesn't work try something stronger, there are various pastes and polishes available to help with this.

The fogginess is caused by UV rays and the plastic lens reacting and does polish off. You can then coat it with a nice wax or sealant to slow down the fogging in the future.

I've seen them "burn" on the inside on a stream before with HID's (had them from factory) No amount of sanding or polishing outside will help if yours are the same, the only way to fix it if you can't find replacements is to split the headlight and then sand/polish the inside.

It's a pain to do as you need to bake/heat the headlights ect to separate the lens, but its doable and an option if you can't source replacements, which ain't gonna be cheap from Asia if you've got HID units

Try wish.com maybe or there sister shop gadget.com or something like that it's called. The brother got keys for his old Puegeot 207 of it believe it or not so there might be light units there too. Also have you tried E-Bay?

    Peace and long life.
