Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is it possible to replace Vodafone modem (HG...) with one purchased myself?

    Hi All

Having connection issues (very slow to connect, when connected get 5-7 MBPS, then eventually connection drops) and been on the phone to VF Ireland last three days no joy. The line was tested and is giving 50 MBPS. I want to replace the modem/router with my own to give me more control and hopefully a better connection.

Is it possible to do this, or do I need to use a Vodafone proprietary modem/router?

Would the Vodafone Gigabox help you?

My mother was having same problems. Speedtest was giving single digit speeds.

I logged into her modem and enabled the guest network. Immediately getting 150~160MB after that.

wifi analyser showed neighbours using same channels on 2.4ghz. There's no way I can see to change the channel yourself.

Since she upgraded to gigabit broadband, she was expecting better speeds but that was difficult as she still had the old modem. Then some tech called and installed the new modem but no improvement at all. Doing a bit of digging about I'd found out the above. But for some unfathomable reason you can't make any real changes to the WiFi settings. Super wifi in the gigabit app is controlling the wifi, despite there not being any super wifi and it not being paid for.

I'm looking forward to the call to their support line to explain this one...

Try enabling the guest network and see if it helps
