Weird light in the sky right now

Anyone else seeing this? What is it? The light gets bigger and then dissappears and repeats

If it is circular then it will Jupiter

Yeah it prob is jupiter, meant to be most visible tonight than in 59 years, here I was thinking its either alien's or Russia

I read you can see 4 of it's moons with a pair of good binoculars. Mine are only 8 X 30. I just had a look and if I was even looking at the right 'star' I thought I could see a tiny white speck at 9/10 o'clock and 2 specks at 3/4 o'clock. Then again it could have been some light refraction in the binocs. Maybe someone here knows...

edit: just realized they'd hardly always be in the same position relative to the planet, duh.

edit 2: just realized someone should be able to confirm where they are right now, duh duh.

I didn’t get out last night, but this is a pic I took of Jupiter with a 500mm lens on a mirrorless camera (not with a telescope, unfortunately) in August. From left to right you can see the moons Ganymede, Io and Callisto. Europa happened to be right in front of Jupiter at that time, so it’s there but you can’t see it.
