YouTube offline

My daughter who is 3 watches some YouTube shows and I was wondering if it would be possible to download any programmes onto a tablet so that they could be watched offline when we are on a plane. Heading on holidays in a few weeks and think it could be handy to keep her distracted for a little while as it’s a long haul flight.

I’ve tried some of the ways that Google is telling me and it doesn’t seem to work so just wondering if anyone has any genius ideas for me. Thanks in advance

I think you have to have YouTube Premium - basically pay and then it will allow you.

Perhaps I am wrong, but I've looked in to the same on my son's iPod and think this is the case.
