Voltage but no amps?

    Yes too high amps, it will clip if there is a lot of output power. That inverter woud be better with 450w panels

    You can get a different inverter that can take 15A per string. You might not gain loads by doing so. If the inverter is drawing the full 11A the voltage will creep up from MPP voltage towards OC voltage and in doing so you will get a bit more power, so it's not like you will lose out on the power contained in the 3.25A you are missing completely and most of the time the output will not be that high anyway unless you have a solar tracker to adjust the angle of the panels

    Ok so do you think it'll be ok as it is. It's currently reading 0 amps on both strings looked up and says open circuit but I know all connections are done correctly, I've a new multimeter on the way.

    I'm not clear on the problem-statement here, but could your panels be in any way shaded?

    Panels will be seen to increase the voltage while even indirect light falls on them, but only create current once strong light hits. Could you just be seeing this voltage and not the amps due to partial shading?

    Then you have a different problem. It should work if it's connected right, maybe check the terminals inside the inverter to ensure the voltage is getting to the PCB. If that is OK then perhaps the inverter is faulty. Perhaps Open circuit refers to the mains or battery connection
