As it happens, I only just finished watching the Lost Cit of Z yesterday, and happened to see James Gray has a new one coming - already reviewing well it seems.

An interesting swerve given his last two films could be called Sweeping Epics - of a type now extinct; unfortunately both were box-office flops, so maybe that accounts for the smaller scope. I'm still fairly cold on Ad Astra & its laboured "Son Hates the Father" tropes, but my goodness the Lost City of Z was an intoxicating watch. Anyone pining for those old-school adventuresome epics of yore would do well there. And it gave me pause about Charlie Hunnam's worth as a leading man.

This appears to be a tale of prejudice growing up in Regan-era America. Being a Gray film, it'll be nice to look at if nothing else.
