    Hi All,

Would anyone mind sharing what they have recently paid for the following trades including materials on a newbuild? Starting to panic about funds so looking for a rough idea. Completely understand its like asking how long is a piece of string but I would like to know ball park. For comparison house is 230sqm.

    Electrics

    Plastering

    Kitchen

I was quoted 6K to put in a walk in shower tray type (replacing a bath shower) and 3K for a front door (plastic really). Told both to take a hike.

    Where?

Plastering 6 to 10 a square foot depending on finish and where you are

Tiling 20 to 30 a square meter depending on tiles

Anything else is hard to judge, tradesmen are making minimum 200 cash and 250 plus for through the books

Painting is something you could do yourself with the help / guidance of family/friend who has some experience. It's not exactly rocket science.

Regarding fitted kitchen, a bespoke one with all the bells & whistles could cost an eyewatering amount, but something like Cash & Carry type kitchens are reasonable in comparsion, could be under €10k depending on size. You could always replace it later with bespoke when funds allow.

Is it? I think the devil would be in the detail. If it's a 10 hour day then yes it's good.

8 hour day would be standard, maybe you'll get someone to do the 10 hours but obviously it would cost more
