Notion app vs slack etc workspace

Has anyone tried Notion (notion.so) as a collab workspace tool? Seen lots of ads on bus shelters of all places... but don't know of anyone in design/dev using it instead of Jira, etc. https://www.notion.so/ Slack is a bit too "noisy" for me and well the old UI is very dated...
