    Hi All,

Looking for advice currently in the need of a second car and have a deposit down on an 2012 Audi A3 1.4 tfsi which ticks alot of boxes for us.

The car in question has low mileage and is very clean plus it been a sports back has the practicality of a bigger boot and easy of access for isofix seats in the back for the kids.

Ive searched all of done deal for a possible alternative but can't see any that meet this spec.

    What's people's thoughts on these Audi A3?

If it is the 122bhp 1.4tsi they are known for stretched timing chains, so look for that in the service history. If it is noisy and rattling get them to change it or walk away.

Sounds like it might be a Japanese import. Just make sure if so that the infotainment system works in English. Some of them are easier than others to switch from Japanese to English while others that are not are replaced with aftermarket ones by dealers when they land here.

Appreciate the advice. I'll give another test drive and listen out again but it seemed fairly fine. Are they cheap to replace?
