Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Significance of "Guardian 1", "Guardian 2"?

My children are all in primary and I was just checking the school's Aladdin app and I'm recorded as "Guardian 2" rather than as "Joint guardian", which is my status in law (I'm the children's father, and husband of their mother).

Is "Guardian 2" status automatically given by schools to fathers? Will I be given less information about my children's schooling by virtue of being only "Guardian 2"?

    No.

Schools don't automatically assign anything to do with personal information. There's space for details of 2 parents/2 guardians. Not all children live with their parents. That's where guardian comes into it. I assume your wife filled in the forms? The person filling in the form, usually fills in their own details first. The school updated their system according to the information that she gave them.
