Can get 3 for 10 euro back home and they're decent quality, is there anywhere around South Dublin doing something similar?

You'd find a very decent ball brand new for that. The likes of Bridgestone's or Srixon Z stars are often on offer for around the €40 mark a dozen

Well the ones I normally get are grade A, 40 euro for a dozen balls that were hit maybe 10 times is still better value than 54 euro brand new

You can quite often get deals in B&M shops on the premium balls. €45 a dozen is not a price very hard to find for a dozen pro v’s or equivalent

I don't like lake balls. Performance from ball to ball likely to be inconsistent particularly if some were sitting in water and others were not. I wouldn't pay the same for them as you can get other premium balls for. I think some golf stores sell re-packaged pro vs for about €30 a dozen, but I don't get these.

we are pointing out B&M prices…… you can’t disagree with them. They are live on websites right now @ €99 for 2 boxes and I’m just saying you will get them even cheaper from time to time.

I think people's conception of what grade A lake balls are is skewed.

These aren't refinished/ repainted balls or balls that have been underwater for 2 years.

Not all "lake balls" come from lakes either most are just found balls out on a golf course in areas people don't go into to retrieve balls

The balls I normally get where I'm from are basically almost brand new, some might have a singular scuff mark, but u can pick and choose the ones you want.

Glad to see such a diverse discourse on this, maybe I should change the topic of the thread to fit the replies

As a matter of interest how would one know how long a ball has been in a lake or, as I found the other day, plugged in the ground since last winter maybe?

A good clean up and some look perfect.

golf balls are porous, so they will take on water. Mygolfspy have done some testing on this, would advise you to look it up
