Tips to prevent chafing

    Hi,

I've only started running in the last year and aiming for Dublin as my first ever marathon. As the long run distances have increased I've started to experience nipple chafing for the first time.

I usually wear a singlet for my runs and they're polyester. I have a tighter one that I haven't seemed to experience this with yet but probably haven't run more than 20km in that one, though the other one I use is a bit looser and this is the one I've had this issue with. Both are Asics so would the fit be a contributory factor here?

What do people use to mitigate against this? Can it be solved with the type of gear or would you also need to use something like Vaseline or something to cover the area?

    TIA
