Megane 3 1.5DCI Driveshaft replacement

Hi there. need to replace outer CV joint so picked up a second hand driveshaft. (Drivers side) anyone done one of these on this gearbox?? wondering if I need to drop the oil or not, I’ve done these on other cars before (starlet and a focus) and managed not to have to by jacking it up pretty high on the side I’m working on-…
