I just checked dereck davis is dead. Died young enough. I always liked him.

Remember Alison Comyn filled in for Joe for a week or two in 2017, shortly after the closure of UTV Ireland, people thought at the time it was only the beginning for her at RTE but she was never heard on RTE again Afaik

Damien O'Reilly did a few stints, he had a preference for all things 10-10-20 related.

Boucher Hayes does a stint occasionally and is always thrown a soft ball.

Yes, and she even updated her bio to state she was a presenter of Liveline possibly even before her 2 week stint was up. She was grand - a bit too much common sense compared to Joe.

Lord Boucher Hayes at one time had “full time host of Liveline” on his bio! Wonder what Joe thought of that?

That wouldn’t be hard though, he sets a very low bar.

Honestly didn’t know Keith Duffy stood in for Joe, I’d imagine that had potential for gold.

I do enjoy Hannon when she presents, she's a genuine talent in Raidió Éireann and would do a far better job of giving the programme some integrity.

Marian, Sarah McInerney, Katie Hannon - the most news savvy, engaging of RTE presenters.

I was catching up on the newspapers and there is a whole article about Joe and Liveline.

Doireann Ni Bhriain presented in the early days.

Didn't The Women's Programme morph into Liveleine, and the presenters were Marion Finnucane and Doireann Ni Bhriain?

Derek Davis was good when he was at it, filled in for a couple of summers I think. Chatty and personable but the caller was important and he enabled them to give out their spiel.

Katie Hannon? Was OK at first but morphed into a female Duffy.

Ray D'Arcy could probably give it a good go, whatever about some aspects of his current show, he's good at connecting with people.

Or the O'Hara fella - he could bamboozle the callers with his Connemara Dublin blás.
