Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Glasses for a child

My daughter said she is having trouble seeing the blackboard at school. I have an eye test booked for tomorrow but if she needs glasses it's just not going to. I'll be lucky to afford the eye test.

    Are there any other options?

I'm guessing you got sorted but just for anyone else wondering: if the child has a medical card you can get tested through the public system at the hospital and they give you a voucher with the prescription you can take to an optician for the free glasses. Specsavers have a good selection and are good for repairing them if they break and are able to be repaired.

So I brought my daughter to Specsavers and an eye test done which cost €30.I then contacted our local health centre who asked me to email them the results. They left a voucher in Specsavers for me which covers a free pair of glasses and I bought a second pair for €24.
