Deleted message keeps reappearing.

    This one has me baffled, an iMessage I sent won't delete from my iPhone, it doesn't show up on my iPad, also running iOS 16 pb. I've tried it with iMessage deactivated, in Airplane mode, turning phone on and off, updating to each new public beta, but it just won't go, reappearing mili seconds after I delete it.

    Here's how tricky it's got. I can still send the person a new message, but I have to hold and delete each message in the body of the text if I want to delete them. I can delete it on my iPad but the new messages will still show on my iPhone where I have to hold and delete them one by pressing on the message.

    To make it more complicated it began with a photo I sent; I tried deleting it for days then I forwarded it to myself and used the new Undo send option and both vanished, however this method doesn't work with text.

    I guess a full reset of the phone is my only option but and ideas would be welcome before I go down that road.
