Orient watch or better to get a Seiko or Citizen ?

I see people mention Orient from time to time. Seem to be alot of cheap diver style automatics with manual wind for sub 200. Are they crap watches or would a SEIKO be a better option ? They look nice for the price but I dont know much about them. Would you buy an Orient ?

Seiko are definitely the best option at that price point. Orient are a cheaper version of Seiko and as bad as a Seiko bracelet is , orient is worse

Starter watch....cant go wrong with a seiko. Orient are not bad but they are really cheap and show it in places. What kind of aesthetic are you after...diver, dress, aviation, chrono??? I am guessing from your sig that a vostock is out of the question.

I'd like a Diver... I was looking at some Homage watches, a Rolex Submariner style watch on Amazon etc. The Seiko Sports are nice I have to say.

There is a few different homage watches in this price range. This one caught my eye and seemed to get generally good reviews. Supposedly has a reliable seagul Chinese automatic movement. Some other homages have seiko movements.

If a submariner homage is what you fancy. Tissel in Korea do a couple with a miyota 9015 or 905S. Automatic,sapphire,bgw9.

I like the idea of an automatic watch, I think mechanical watches are just more interesting then quartz.

If you keep an eye on adverts.ie a Steinhart Ocean 1 (sub homage) will pop up for 250-300 or so. They are 500 new and a good builds quality with automatic movement.

Ye I've been tempted by that. The Seagul ST16 movt in it is suppose to be pretty accurate

Dare I recommend a pagani sub homage? Seiko nh35 movement and a lot of watch for little money. Quality seems to vary though, as one would expect.
