Can’t seem to find any info on whether these have Rim Protection, any sites selling them don’t have any MFS (Max Flange Shield) mentioned.

Can see Pilot Sport 4 with this available.

Going to need 4 new tyres soon to replace the Turanza T005 B-silent AO on A6 soon.

Good call, seems to be lot of good thigs said about them too here:

Yeah seem to have good wet and dry grip along with excellent rim protection and good comfort too. Only down is a acqaplanning compared to direct competitors.

One thing lacking is peoples inputs on their wear as most reviews ain’t used them long enough to know it seems.

    Hows the wear for you?

Ive got about 40k out of the both sets of Turanza T005s…mix of country, main and motorway roads. Have bit of fun sometimes but generally drive sensibly on them without been a Sunday Aftertook driver!

    .

Honestly you would be doing well to get 40k out of the Goodyears from my experience!

But I've never noticed any aquaplaning from 3 sets on 3 different cars 1 being rwd!

Currently running a set of Asymmetric 4's on my Focus ST and it works very well!

Strange to not have rim protection on a performance tyre, they're usually paired with nice wheels! If I was buying new tyres I'd consider sticking with the PS4 or go for the PS4 S. Shame as apparently the PS5 is better in pretty much every way.

    Thought the exact same.

Even emailed Michelin directly and got the most useless response back I’ve ever seen from customer service !

Specifically asked them if the 5 had rim protection or if was plans to add it. They said “not all tyres have rim protection, some does and some doesn't.”! 🤣

Yeah considering the 4 but had also read various things about the 5 been better across the board.
