Italy questions - first time

    Hi everyone, 

    My girlfriend and I are doing a 10 day trip to Italy it is our first time. 

    21st September into Bologna airport and fly back to Ireland Saturday 1st October from Naples. 

    Our holiday is split as follows- 

    Night 1, florence

    Night 2- Tuscan countryside 

    Night 3, back in Florence

    Night 4 and 5 (Saturday and Sunday) we go to Rome Saturday morning by train and stay for 2 nights.

    Nights 6-10 Monday morning we take the train from Rome to sorrento - and we stay at for 5 nights. We will do some day trips from here during the week along amalfi coast.

    On Saturday morning we will travel upto Naples from sorrento for our flight. 


    is 3 nights in Florence/Tuscany and 2 nights in Rome OK in your opinion, before heading to sorrento / amalfi coast for the relaxing part of the week after moving around a bit?

    Which day trips would you prioritise from sorrento in order of “must-see”? Capri, amalfi, ravello, praiano, positano, salerno…

    I have all the accom reserved on booking.com so they are free cancellation. Except for the 2nd night stay in Tuscan countryside. All in it’s about £1700 for accom.
