Hi folks, hopefully someone might be able help here, if possible please?

NCT is due this week and I've a fault light on dashboard for breaks (red light!), my mechanic says breaks are fine, just a faulty sensor (in fairness car does seem great and without issue!). Its been on it a few months, when he resets it, it comes back on again within a few mins. Do you think this will fail, even though breaks are actually fine? (New break pads and discs fitted 6 months ago - by 520d) - thanks so much in advance.
