Cancun & Maya Riviera

    Have 6 nights (plus 1 final night with early morning checkout) upcoming along the Maya Riviera.

    Partners preference is for white sandy beaches.

    Currently thinking about:

    - 4 nights in Isla Holbox

    - 3 nights in Cancun - all inclusive resort to end the trip and be close to the airport for early morning flight.

    Other than Holbox, any other recommendations for other places to spend 2 or 4 nights that has nice beaches and preferably no mosquitos.

    Is Cozumel a good option? - Most hotels I've seen seem to have rocky beaches unless one goes very high end.

    If we stay in Cozumel, I can factor in the Atlantis Submarine. Did this in Barbados and it was a good experience (for me).

    Was also considering the Barceló resort further south on the Riviera Maya.

    Will be doing the pyramids in Mexico City so may skip Chichen Itza - unless someone differs on this opinion.

    Appreciate any recommendations of areas, resorts and attractions.
