Hey all I've 11 lessons done and still find the reversing is my weak point, and also proper parking distance from the kerb/footpath.

Any ideas as I find it difficult even looking in the passenger mirror to judge etc can I adjust the passenger mirror down towards the back wheel when reversing around bend or corner.

I don't have a car to drive on the road for practice,so my lessons have really been the only road time I've had.

You can adjust the mirror as necessary before carrying out the manoeuvre. Just adjust it back before setting off afterwards.

I'd recommend not rushing, keep your head on a swivel for observation, and try practice on different types of corners/situations. For example - on a grade, tight corners, high/low kerbs, reverse into parking bays/driveway.

Personally found that while I was learning to drive I would choose to reverse into parking spots instead of driving straight in. It forces you to learn/get better. In real life you're not really going to be in many situations that require you to reverse around a bend at a junction but you'll definitely be reverse parking, etc.

Finally -- highly recommend dedicating a lesson to reversing (per above situations) so your instructor can help iron out any issues.

    Good luck.
