Have Firebird 50/82 Super Q oil boiler indoors. Around 30 years old. Serviced regularly.

Looking at replacing boiler and relocating outdoors to gable of house.

I can locate directly up against wall of house or preferably 2 metres from house so not blocking footpath. Is their much heat loss in 2m of external pipes assuming insulted etc. Is the loss not even worth considering given the distance?

    Any boiler recommendations greatly appreciated.

Any issue locating a bunded oil tank near the boiler?

I will be getting a professional out to quote, I just want to have some idea myself beforehand.

    Thanks.

First thing is oil tank must be further than 1.8 Mtrs from boiler

heat loss wouldn’t be worth considering

my boiler of choice is grant vortex
