    Hi all,

Looking into buying this car. Have heard good and bad. I am a small bit weary of potential steering rack issues as per his ad down the road but overall it looks good. We have a family of 6 so need this now.

    It’s the 197bhp model.

Would anyone have anything to help me make my mind up? I see plenty around so hopefully they are a good drive.

The guy is asking for E9700 but hope to gte him down to E9200 anyway.

    Cheers all.

"Car has had all 4 injectors replaced with receipts of €900

    New rear shocks €300

Car needs a handbrake switch and a steering rack down the line as has a small bit of play!"

My first question would be why hasn't the seller already fixed the handbrake switch? Surely a handbrake switch would be an easy/cheap enough fix? The steering rack not sure about but cannot imagine a new one being cheap or it would be done. The statement "it will need replacing down the line" would have me believing it needs replacing as soon as you hand over the money and drive off with the car.

Seeing as the seller has numerous other cars for sale you can be sure this isn't his first time around the block. Unless you know what our looking at I wouldn't chance it, too much money there to be buying blind on a wing and a prayer.

I've driven on of those, which apparently didn't need a steering rack, and it was atrocious on the motorway.

The seller knows his business - and knows it's not worth the money fixing it. If it was, they would do it, and sell the car afterward.

Keep on looking is my advice.

Thanks Bazz, yes I pulled out. Those 2 jobs could be up on 6 or 700 euro at least. I saw the car, nice drive but was not gonna take on those jobs. Thanks for your input!
