Hey all I am looking for some advice, today I accidentally scratched my car against a pillar resulting is some very deep scratches and dents along the passenger side wing, door and rear door. I could really do without forking out the money to fix it as i need it for our house build. Does your insurance cover damage like this fully what's the best way to approach it with them. I will attached photos of the damage if I can.

Look forward to all the help

If you have full comprehensive insurance it will be covered. However, depending on whether you have no claims protection or not, it could end up costing you quite a bit in increased premiums.

Best get a quote for the repairs and go from there.

How old is the car? If you would keep it anyway to end of life....

    Hi Allinall,

I do have no claims protection which is why I am thinking of going through insurance. With the new house coming along I just can't stretch to spending that about of money on it. As I imagine it's going to be in the thousands.

The car is 2016. And we aren't planning on keeping it for years no. But for resale alone it's going to have to be fixed anyway

Get a quick estimate of the cost and put the claim in. It's why you have comprehensive with claims protection.
