where can i buy chrome rj45 socket?

hi

in the house i have chrome plate for rj45.

the sparky has not put the socket on to it.

left the cable as u see in the picture.

where can i buy a chrome plated socket for rj45?

tried everywhere on google but could not find.

i am assuming they are standard size that can go on any plate

Is that supposed to be a single or double RJ45? I see two cable ends.

If single get a module as The Cush suggests above. If double you need a double insert single gang chrome face plate and two of the modules above. You will not get chrome finished insert modules to my knowledge.

If you have cables plugged in you will hardly notice the tiny bit of white plastic.

I'm pretty sure that faceplate is a VPSC310 from the click deco satin chrome range.

It is a modular faceplate that can take a number of connectors - see https://www.scolmore.com/_pdfs/new_media.pdf for examples

You can fit any 'euro module' into this faceplate but you will likely only get white or black.

NB - some of the links above are for 'keystone' jacks which are NOT COMPATIBLE with euromodule faceplates

If you go down the modular route, you should use white as you have the white gasket (the click deco range is available with white or black plastics and the gasket should match the insert)

if you don't want to 'build your own' faceplate, they do make single or double rj45 plates. Here are some model numbers to google

vpsc118bk - twin, black inserts

vpscrj456wh - single, white inserts, with label space

vpscrj456bk - single, black inserts, with label space

Some of the supplies are quite expensive once they add shipping, look on ebay also as it is sometimes better value for these

hope for your sake that it is a spare and that your sprk hasn't wired your data circuit as a ring and the two cables are in and out.

Data networks MUST be wired in a star topology.

Voice cabling can be done either way, so somebody someone without IT knowledge may have assumed data could be wired like phone points - it can't.
