Huawei SUN2000-6KTL-M1 Pure Off Grid mode

    Firstly I don't have a back up box and am trying to avoid using one. Power cuts are a possibility this winter so I want to understand my options.

    Has anybody used Huawei SUN2000-6KTL-M1  in pure off grid mode by isolating from the gird first and switching from "Irish Grid" to "Island Grid"? Obviously this is a manual switch over but it would be a hell of a lot better than sitting in the dark.

    From reading the documentation it seems possible. Has anyone actually tried it out ? Apart from "Island Grid" what else need to be setup in inverter ? Does Invert remember all correct settings when switching back to Irish Grid.

    I intend to experiment this week but biggest concern is when I go to switch back some settings are not returned correctly for grid operation...Would be great to have your contact details in case I need somebody to check out the settings on a live working system. Feel free to PM me. Thanks

    Yeah no problem, glad to help out. Do you have a fireman switch? I'm guessing that could be a problem, esp if you do not have a battery. Chicken and egg, you need power to enable the switch, something to kickstart the system if you don't have a battery.

    Yes have firemans switch but think it will be energized by the inverter output. Even if it isn't I can get the system running on battery and figure out how to get firemans switch energized to enable PV when in pure off grid mode
