DS9 Upscaling/Cleanup

So we're most likely never going to get a DS9 remaster. Just not worth the cost I suppose. MAYBE they will do it for Paramount+ but DS9 (And probably Enterprise) was always the least-loved in the US. Which is a pity. I always thought the focus on DS9 was a little soft. Maybe it was an aesthetic choice, maybe a cost-cutting choice to draw focus away from set design or something. (It did seem to vary from time to time). But I see these videos on Youtube and they are getting real good. Early attempts weren't great and action sequences would still probably suffer but this is pretty impressive

Shows like Star Trek: Discovery have a budget of $8.5 million per episode. According to people I’ve spoken to in the VFX industry, the estimated cost of remastering both DS9 and Voyager is a fraction the cost of Discovery. It might be possible to do the entirety of both shows for roughly the cost of one Discovery episode.

If that's even remotely true, what an absolute sickener is it. To think a single episode of that tripe could fund such a badly, badly needed restoration...
