I love it, they make me feel alive. I've the door wedged open all summer in case they get stuck. I hadn't realised that they raise two broods in the one year. Just watching them today, they were working relentlessly all day long in the heat. They must be the ultimate weapon against midges and flies.
It'll be a sad day if that shed is ever empty.

Swallows and hawthorn flowers always signalled summer for me. I'm amazed that so many get worked up over their droppings.
