Old chainsaw chains.

Any ideas on how to reuse or upcycle an old (ie used) chainsaw chain.

I did a bit of Googling, making a rope chains seems to be the most common advice. Either that or scrap metal.

One tooth is broken and it took half a strap with it. I wouldn’t know how to insert a new link and wouldn’t trust the rest of the chain anyway

    Thanks.

What sort of steel is in them? Have heard of a blacksmith making a draw knife out of really old chainsaw bars, but modern bars are laminated and can’t be used.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.
