Had a service of gate last year and were one or two marks on the board where inserts got fried…service guy removed, serviced and it worked fine again until nearly a year later.

Our house RCD started tripping and I pinned it down to when the gate was operated.

Service guy discovered damage to the transformer on panel, what looks like maybe a slug or something got in?

Only have the system in three years and I wouldn’t consider it right to be having issues like this yearly for an expensive piece of kit.

Is it a case that it’s not sealed correctly and can it be sealed fully? Ground mounted unit.

Shoukd it be standard to at least coat the board in Q30 so that insects won’t short it?

Needs a new board but don’t fancy having to be getting one every few years which seems likely at this rate if insect issues keeps happening!
