We are considering relocating somewhere between Naas and Portlaoise and are trying to weigh up our options. Our children attend a gaelscoil, of which there are no shortage of in Co. Kildare. However our eldest will be heading to secondary school in just over a year and we are wondering what our options are in that regard. There is a relatively new Irish-medium secondary school in Portlaoise next to the railway station, meaning the children could even commute to this school from neighbouring stations in Co. Kildare. The Gaelcholáiste in Naas seems to be the other option if we were to locate closer to this town. Does anyone know if this school is able to meet the demand or if it is difficult to get a place there? Are there other options?

    Lisa

As your páistí are already in the gaelscoil system they will probably get into either school. Enroll ASAP.
