Paris hotel advice.

Going to Paris for the first time in late October. I'm really looking forward to it.

My head is spinning from reading online hotel reviews. One person's great hotel seems to be another's nightmare. It's so hard to decide.

Can anybody recommend a small, comfortable and reasonably-priced hotel in the Notre Dame area? I'll be taking public transport and walking, so something convenient to the city centre would be good.

This trip was originally planned for my birthday two years ago. At that time I had planned to fly to London first and then get the Eurostar to Paris. Just to add to the excitement. However, now with Brexit delays and all the rest, I'm wondering if that would be a good idea.

    Many thanks.

Hotel Andre Latin on Rue Descartes is my go to in Paris. It's a short walk to Notre Dame and an even shorter walk to Luxembourg RER station which is on the direct line from CDG.

Excellent. I’ll have a look at that. Thank you.
