As opposed to Pol Pot's regime, the Third Reich, Stalins Russia, N.Korea, etc. There's quite a few to choose from throughout history.

The most totalitarian? Hardly. Oh, it's a heavy handed totalitarian state alright, but there's been far worse. Hell, the Qing Dynasty was arguably worse than China under the CCP.

The United States has been supporting Taiwan's independence for a long time. I keep seeing people saying its indiscreet for their people to visit. Well it is if they plan to allow the PRC to quietly absorb the country! If they don't then why shouldn't it be business as usual?

The US built up the PRC by moving manufacturing there since the 1970s.

While not on par with North Korea. I'd argue its definitely in the top five. Possibly top three. I also believe that China is worse than Iran and Saudi Arabia (who people forget are beheading citizens)

Have you been to China? Cause honestly, after seeing how Chinese people live, the totalitarian aspect of their government doesn't touch most of them, any different from the other Asian nations.

World peace is a joke. It's a pipedream. The same for world stability, consider the dozens of ongoing wars, civil wars, and insurrections across the world.

China is simply a threat to Asia. Nothing more... It's definitely not a threat to Europe, except in economic terms, and considering how much China relies on European imports, it's not much of a threat.
