Where oh where have all the shops that used to sell cones gone? My local Circle K has no machine this year; staff dont know why. A drive around Stillorgan, Rathmines, Harolds Cross this evening and there were no cone signs visible. I saw one in Ballsbridge - sign that is - opposite the junction with Herbert Park but its a bit awkward to stop there. I did get one a few months ago near Quinns corner.

Where have they all gone and why.

But the good news from this evening. MACE in Sandymount village, terrific cones, large plain €2.

You can get them in the shop almost opposite to Howth railway station. There's also a new ice-cream parlour at Bayside shopping centre in Kilbarrack.
