I buy a lot of ready meals ( lazy cook )which you need to pierce the film and put in the microwave.

when it’s heated I can’t for the life of me peel the film off in one go only the rim seems to come off and I need to cut the film with a nice to get the food out (doesn’t matter the brand)

I also have issues opening resealable ham packaging or taking the film off easy singles.

Never had this issue a few years ago but now is a daily issue.

Is it just me one is the pain suffered by many?

Just eat the film and packaging, it's probably as nutritional as some of those meals.

The film on Tesco own brand and M&S microwave meals peels off smoothly in one go. Whereas the film on "gourmet" brand stuff from Tesco is different, it rips as you remove it and you'll often get a blast of steam too.

Don't pierce the film, lift a corner instead - steam can still escape and then you have an easy place to peel the film from when it's cooked

Learn to cook. 😃. Better for your taste buds and probably your health.
