Cap for well.

I have a shallow well that is my only water supply. The cap was a temporary one, made of chipboard, that has pretty much disintegrated. At the moment I'm getting the wellhouse in shape and I'm going to clean the well itself. What's the best option for a permanent cap for the well once the job is done? Cement? Fibreglass?…

The well is lined with a concrete pipe, I think it's probably about 3 and a half feet in diameter. It rises about three feet above ground level. It has an inner protruding lip, like the image below.
