    Hi folks.

I want to paint a garden block wall (not plastered). It hasn't been painted before.

It's about 7' high and about 60' long.

I expect it will take a good few litres of paint so my question is for the first coat what would the mixture be paint to water.

Is the second coat full strength.

Anything else I should do for a good finish.

    Thanks.

i did the same on our wall

    first - https://www.screwfix.ie/p/sandtex-quick-dry-stabilising-solution-5ltr/295hy

then 1 coat watered down masonry paint

then finished off with another coat undiluted

get a good roller - your hands will get numb after a while

Slightly off topic. 3 months ago I repainted wall cappings with black masonry paint. I painted same again today because I have to clean it 3 times daily due to bird poop (starlings) off the capping and the surface where I clean it leaves a whitish stain. I use cold water and a rough brush (like a deck brush). My big problem is the starlings are nesting under the eave of the house. Would somebody offer me advice please.
