Does Canada recognise Irish penalty points?

Hello,

I am thinking of moving to Canada however I have 3 penalty points on my license.

Do any of you know does Canada recognise Irish penalty points before and after exchange a driving license?

From what I see, penalty points is just in the country on the countries licence.

For example, I came across a post where a someone was thinkong of exchanging their UK license but had penalty points that were in waiting from years ago. So basically they only apply when he exchanges his licence.
