    Hi,

Is it possible to view an archive of the prison forum?

No, there's no archive, and no current equivalent of it.

Other than for personal amusement, or indeed to perhaps look at someone's own thread(s) in there what benefit would be derived? Not that I know if it's even possible

When we moved, any forums that had specific access criteria (private forums, access only forums, etc) were all made into Groups instead where access can be regulated. This included Prison as on vBulletin there were special parameters in place to allow a site banned user who had no access to the rest of the site post in Prison. This does not exist on Vanilla - site banned users simply cannot log in at all so there is no need for the Prison forum at the moment. It still exists as a private forum but has been inactive since we migrated.

Where does the ‘Staff Area’ forum fit in here Niamh? I see posts only from Mods/Cmods/Admin/Staff in there but it’s listed in my Catagories & not in Groups. Is it private? Limited access? Open to all?

It's private. Only open/visible to mods. There's a CMod forum which obviously CMods can view and post in as well as an Admin forum. There is probably another where Niamh and Odhran along with the (very limited) developer resource we have can participate

Right, but it’s not shunted into ‘Groups’ like the Moderators forum (or other private forums).

It's a forum, not a group, so it pointlessly exists in parallel due to how Vanilla works. It's redundant and should be done away with.
