Yes a proof of address is required , generally a very recent utility bill, Bank Statement , no older than 3 months old.

I'm assuming you don't have a Mywelfare account set up and if not and you don't have a PSC you will be asked to get a PSC also.

Two very different things , JSA and JSB.

JSB is awarded based on contributions primarily and not means tested .

JSA is means tested and banks statements (Up to 6 months) and additional info required.

Not knowing your circumstances, keep in mind there's very few additional allowances you'd be entitled to on JSB , where as and in time there are additional allowances subject to means testing.

Finally keep in mind JSB is only paid for a short time and depending on your gross income per week in 2020 , you may be awarded less than the maximum rate .

I'd look at citizens info for more details on each payment and if you've a Mywelfare account check contributions for 2020 if applying for JSB.

    Good luck .

    thanks for the info,

I all ready have a PSC card and a mywelfare account, but where i live has changed since then,

so I guess I will just bring in a bank statement. what other documents do I need to bring in when applying for JSA,

Just want to make sure I have everything required on the first time so I do not have to set up a second appointment

OK, it's good you've those things set up but you'll need to update your new address ASAP , I'm afraid that's not straightforward and may delay your application, but go ahead an apply regardless and explain this to whomever your dealing with.

Normally I'd say apply through mywelfate account but don't as the address situation will cause issues .

    Good luck

This. Bear in mind JSA/B has gone back to being paid thorough the PO so if your local one is miles away form the new address it could be difficult.

I did not realize you can apply online.

Can you do the whole application process online now or do you still have to go into your welfare office for some part of it

Also I thought you get to choose the PO or does it automatically have to be collected at the PO closest to the address given

I don't believe this is an issue for OP , just wanted to highlight the possible issue if they were in receipt of a jobseekers payment even part time and Travel restrictions that may apply .
