Really enjoyable music show addition for the summer. I've no idea who the presenter was but i liked the music, and the show itself had a good flow to it.

Fans of the south wind blows or the mystery train might like to give it a shot

Sounds good, Oisín Leech is one half of the Lost Brothers.

Navan songwriter and musician, Oisin Leech, will host a new series called 'Caravan Radio' on RTE Radio 1 at 10pm starting tonight, Wednesday 13th July.

The show will feature music from across all the genres as the caravan moves around from place to place and from theme to theme for each episode. Wherever the caravan lands, that’s where will music will take the listener. The first show will feature some songs inspired by Wednesday night’s full moon.

Leech, who will present the show and introduce the music, has collaborated over the years with the likes of Paul Muldoon, M Ward and Arctic Monkeys. He is one half of Irish duo The Lost Brothers, with Mark mcCausland, whose most recent album was described by The Guardian as “sublime” and by The Irish Times as “deeply soulful”.

He has performed internationally at festivals like Glastonbury and SXSW and continues to write and perform. Each winter the band performs locally at The Solstice Arts Centre in Navan for a special homecoming. Leech also runs Joey Procida's Folk Club , a night of music and poetry, which has hosted acts such as Villagers, Lisa O’Neill and Andy Irvine.

Just reading online that he did a special of the same show as a once-off,

went well enough to be picked up for a series.

    I'll have a listen!

Some OK music but the presenter and presentation came across as a bit dry & contrived. Copying the night train thing or yer man down in Dingle waxing lyrical every fecking week about America being in the next parish.

More substance and less style please.

Lovely music again tonight. Really loving this show.

The Brendan Voyage is an amazing piece of work that i have not listened to in a long long time for some reason, so was great to hear a piece from it tonight.....followed by a bit of Zep 🙂

Actually happen to be listening in a caravan up the top of Donegal this evening! Brought the trusty portable radio for true authenticity 😀
